Why should I consider professional dog training for my pet?

Professional dog training offers numerous benefits that extend well beyond basic obedience. Firstly, it can help prevent and address behavioral problems such as aggression and destructive chewing, which are often the result of miscommunication or lack of understanding between you and your pet. Training provides your dog with clear guidance on acceptable behaviors, reducing the likelihood of these issues arising.

At Château Canine, our goal is to empower you with the knowledge and tools to enjoy greater freedom and harmony with your pet. Through our comprehensive training programs, you’ll not only achieve obedience but also learn how to interpret and respond to your dog’s needs and behaviors. This enhanced communication helps prevent misunderstandings and fosters a stronger bond. Our approach ensures that you’re not only training your dog but also learning how to create a balanced and fulfilling partnership, enhancing your overall experience as a dog owner.

How long does it take to train a dog?

The length of time it takes to train a dog varies depending on the dog's age, breed, and temperament, as well as the specific training program being used. Basic obedience training can take several weeks, while more advanced training can take several months.

Can all dogs be trained?

Yes, all dogs can be trained. However, some dogs may require more patience and persistence in dog training classes than others, and certain breeds may require specialized training techniques.

What breeds of dogs do you train?

We train all breeds and all sizes. From Chihuahua to Great Danes, the big and small we take them all!

When is the best time to start training my puppy?

The earlier you start training your puppy, the better. Puppies have a critical socialization period between 3 and 16 weeks of age, during which they are most receptive to learning and new experiences.

Is my dog too old for training?

No, your dog can be trained at any age, provided that you, the owner are willing to learn too!

What kind of behavioral issues can be addressed through professional dog training?

Professional dog training can address a wide range of behavioral issues, including aggression towards people or other dogs, separation anxiety, fear of loud noises or new situations, destructive chewing or digging, excessive barking or whining, and more.

My dog has specific training needs. Can you customize your programs?

Yes, in fact, our programs are completely customized based on your dog's current situation, and your relationship/behavior goals with them. We won't recommend a program or a course of action until we actually get to evaluate your dog in-person and learn more about what is causing the problematic or unwanted behaviors. Every dog is different, therefore every dog should be trained differently!

How do I get the training process started?

The first step is to get in contact so we can book your phone consultation. This is so we can gain a better understanding of your dog's current problematic behavior and temperament. During this consultation, we will discuss your goals, our training methods and determine the needs of the owner and dog. These consultations typically take about 30 minutes.

Do you guarantee your training?

We guarantee that the dog will not revert back to their previous behavior - on the condition that the dog owner follows the training methods too ;)
